Jillina, choreographer for the Desert Roses and artistic director for the Bellydance Super Stars (BDS), has been successfully touring North America and Europe-recently in Monaco-and will soon perform in the Middle East. She joined the BDS after approached by music prmoter Miles Copelan d. He went to see Jillina perform on a recommendation and then asked her to be part of his BDS CD progect and release party. A huge success, this project inspired the idea for a touring company-the world -famous Bellydance Super Stars took the stage in 2003. Jillina came to BDS with an extensive background, which included training in Flamenco, Salsa, Jazz, and Hip Hop. In fact, she was a professional Hip Hop dancer and choreographer with her own troupe before she became a professional Middle Eastern dancer and teacher. Throughout her career, she tried new things to expand her skills. One day, she saw an ad for a bellydance class taught by Diane Weber (Los Angeles). She tried the class, and that was that! From day one, Jillina was obsessed with everything bellydance-the music, the movement, and the freedon for self-expression...
